To celebrate the midsummer, we are throwing an event beneath the Athens Loop on the North Oconee River Greenway! This spot has been home to raves in the past. Respect it, and we will continue to be able to use it. Please obey the law, as this is public property, as you may be liable for any violations, and any evident violations of the law may get the event shut down. Thank you!
Directions
Parking is available at UGA Lot E23 (Park and Ride). There is a walkway that cuts directly across the parking lot, which starts between the two shelters at the bus stop, cuts through a bike set of bike racks, and then cuts across several rows of parking, marked by zebra crossings and goes across several grass islands; follow this walkway towards the emergency call light at the far end away from the bus stop. Follow this pathway onto the North Oconee River Greenway, continuing straight on it until you reach the Athens Loop underpass. This walk takes about 6-7 minutes (0.3 mi).
Unless absolutely necessary, we want guests to arrive from the Park and Ride side for the sake of crowd control. If you are coming from campus, go to UGA Lot E07 on River Road, and take the North Oconee River Greenway access bridge over the North Oconee River. At the four-way intersection, take a right. This last portion of the journey about 4-5 minutes (0.2 mi).
